McRoy Brothers Pick Texas Tech
The Ledger - 12/14
Brothers Ben and Javares McRoy got their wish. The Lakeland High School football stars committed to Texas Tech on Saturday where they'll get a chance to suit up in the same uniform once again. "We're going to enjoy our time in college together and spend time before we have to move on with our lives. We'll have another four years together," Javares said Sunday. The chance to be reunited after high school was the brothers' main focus in the recruiting process. The McRoys also had interest in the state from Florida, Florida State and South Florida. Javares said in the past that they were waiting to see if Florida would offer both of them scholarships, but Ben didn't receive one.
