Welcome to Web Design 2 at Lakeland High School. This course provides advanced concepts for Internet, Intranet, and Web design. The content includes Internet/Intranet tools, Web site promotion, advanced HTML commands, advanced page design, and multimedia applications. In this class you will learn how to manipulate web based elements using Adobe Creative Suite 3 applications. You will have already learned the basics of Dreamweaver and Fireworks and now its time to go into greater depth of these applications. You will also be introduced to Adobe Flash Professional. WIth this application you will be able to add more dynamic content to your web sites. You will learn how to create animations as well as flash elements for your sites. Your assignments will consist of many small projects that will lead to very large, detailed, and more complex web sites. In Web Design 2 you will have the opportunity to actually post your sites to the world wide web for others to view your work. As mentioned before the applications that we will be using is Dreamweaver and Fireworks. We have the latest versions of these programs loaded to the class computers in Adobe Creative Suite 3. After successful completion of Web Design 1 and 2, students will have met Occupational Completion Point - Data Code B, Assistant Web Designer – SOC Code 15-1031.
