Quick hits: QB Tim Evans has taken over at quarterback for graduating Jarred Haggins, and coach Bill Castle is impressed with his handle of the offense. ‘He’s kind of a smooth kid, fluid with his movements,’ Castle said … With DL Tedward Hamilton out with a herniated disc, Castle said DBs Kareem Givens and Perman Wilson are the only returning starters on defense in the spring … ‘The offense is probably ahead of the defense right now, which isn’t good,’ Castle said
