3 'Naughts Earn First-Team Honors
Class 5a All-State Football Team

The Lakeland Dreadnaughts placed three players on the Class 5A All-State first team released Friday.
Lucas already is enrolled at Purdue, while Nealy signed last week with Georgia Tech. McRoy has committed to Texas Tech.
Only state finalists Manatee (four) and Tampa Plant (five) as well as fellow semifinalist St. Thomas Aquinas (five) had more first-teamers than Lakeland.
Other Dreadnaughts on the All-State team were second-teamer Jarred Haggins (Sr., ATH), and third-teamers Xavier Mothersill (Sr., DL) and T.J. Denson (Sr., DB).
Haggins has signed with Florida State, and Mothersill and Denson signed with Murray State.
Earning honorable mention were Ben McRoy (Sr., RB), who has signed with Texas Tech; Devonte Threatt (Sr., OL) and Brandon Martin (Sr., OL).
