Greetings Dreadnaught fans!

Welcome to another year of exciting Lakeland Dreadnaught Football!

What can you say about last year? In 2008 we saw our fine team start the regular season by traveling out of state for the second time in three years to Wheeling, West Virginia, and defeat Pennsylvania powerhouse Pittsburgh Central Catholic 35-0 in the inaugural Friends of Coal Prep Classic. Our outstanding young men went on to finish the regular season undefeated 10-0, the tenth undefeated regular season in Coach Bill Castle's tenure. After an eventual loss in the Class 5A State Championship game to Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas, this phenomenal team finished with an overall record of 14-1. Who could ever forget Javares McRoy's catch of a short pass and 30 yard sideline run for the winning touchdown to beat the Kissimmee Osceola Kowboys 21-14 with 37 seconds left to clinch the District Championship? How about T.J. Denton's interception in the final secondsof the Class 5A State Semifinal game against Pensacola Pine Forest to preserve a 27-21 victory? These thrilling plays combined with many others, easily makes 2008 one of the most exciting years of Dreadnaught Football!

To best show your support for our young athletes and coaches, I urge you to join our booster club today. Your booster club membership donations fund many important activities including players’ Wednesday night study halls, weight room improvements, annual banquet, championship rings, and coaches' supplements. We have several levels of club membership, so anyone who truly loves Lakeland Football can participate.
